How often should a catheter be changed?
It depends on the catheter type and the patient's condition, and is decided by your physician. We schedule visits around that date.
When should I contact someone straight away?
Call us or your physician if urine stops draining, or if there is leakage around the catheter, fever, blood in the urine or a strong odour. In an emergency, call 112.
Is the patient's privacy respected?
Yes. All procedures are carried out with respect for the patient's privacy, and a trusted family member can stay with the patient if they wish.
